Filip Rams has been named the Owlsports.com Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 7.
The sophomore men's tennis team captain posted a 2-0 record against Xavier, the defending A-10 champion, with a wins at number one doubles and number one singles in Temple's lone match of the week on February 7.
In doubles play, he teamed up with younger brother Kacper to defeat XU's top doubles team, 8-6. In singles action, Rams won convincingly at the first flight, downing his opponent 6-2, 6-1.
The Katowice, Poland native (IX High School) is 6-4 in singles play this season, while playing every doubles match with Kacper and posting a 9-3 overall mark.
