Boeni earned Atlantic 10 Men’s Most Outstanding Field Performer of the Year, leading the men to a best-ever third place finish at the A-10 Indoor Championships. The senior tied a 17-year old meet record in the long jump, landing a distance of 24-03.75 for first place. He was the lone Owl to qualify and compete in the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships, a meet which featured both collegiate and professional athletes. Boeni finishing eighth out of 13 athletes in the long jump, impressively out-jumping Bryan Clay, the 2008 Olympic gold-medal winner in the decathlon. To open the month, Boeni met NCAA provisional marks in the long jump placing seventh overall at the New Balance Invitational.
