Golf Places 14th at the Adams Cup

NEWPORT, RI - Freshman Paul Carbone had his best round of his young career on the final day of the Adams Cup on Tuesday, carding a two-under par 69 to lead the Temple men's golf team to a 14th place finish among the 19 teams competing at the two-day event.
Carbone, who had a three-round total of 227 (79-79-69), tied for 51st to lead the Owls. Sophomore Steve Burak was one stroke behind (78-73-77, 228) and tied for 56th place overall. Junior Devin Bibeau was 63rd overall with a 230 (81-71-78). Sophomores Matthew Crescanzo (79-75-85, 239) and Russell Hartung (83-85-78, 246) rounded out the Owl golfers in 85th and 93rd place.
Central Florida won the event with a 10-under 842, nine shots ahead of Georgia (851). The owls next take to the lincs on October 1-2 at the MacDonald Cup in New Haven, Ct.
