Football Moves Up in the National Rankings

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple Owls, who reached the Top 25 in both the Associated Press (AP) and Amway/USA Today Coaches Polls last week for the first time in 36 years, continue to climb in the rankings.
After ranking 22nd in the AP Poll and 24th in the Coaches Poll last week, Temple has moved to 21st in the AP and 22nd in the Coaches Poll after its 24-14 win at East Carolina this past Thursday.
The Owls who are 7-0 for the first time in school history will face #9/9 Notre Dame (6-1) in a showdown this Saturday, October 31st, at a soldout Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Kickoff for the nationally televised prime time game on ABC will be 8:00 p.m. This will be the first time that Temple will face a ranked team while also being ranked.
