Lacrosse to Host 10th Annual Philly 5 Tournament on Sunday

PHILADELPHIA - Temple lacrosse will have its own grand opening event at Howarth Field as the Owls host the 10th annual Philly 5 Lacrosse Tournament on Sunday, Oct. 23 at the Temple Sports Complex. The action features Temple, Drexel, La Salle, Saint Joseph's and Villanova in fall exhibition play, and every team will face every other team in a series of games running from 8 a.m. to 4:35 p.m.
This year's Philly 5 logo, pictured above, will be on t-shirts for sale at the tournament for $20.
The Philly 5 Tournament features the top lacrosse talent in the area. Fans will be able to witness the top local rivalries in action at this highly-anticipated annual event. The tournament aims to bring Division I women's lacrosse schools in the Philadelphia area together for a day of competition and promotion of the sport in the city.Â
The Owl Club will be on hand to help Temple lacrosse celebrate its grand opening of Howarth Field. There will be small group tours provided from 2:30-3:30 p.m., and a reception for lacrosse parents and alumni only at 4:30 p.m.

12:10-12:50 p.m. - Temple vs. La Salle
12:55-1:35 p.m. - Drexel vs. Villanova
1:40-2:20 p.m. - La Salle vs. Saint Joseph's
2:25-3:05 p.m. - La Salle vs. Villanova
3:10-3:50 p.m. - Saint Joseph's vs. Temple
3:55-4:35 p.m. - Temple vs. Villanova
