St. Fleur Snags a First-Place Finish at Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, VA. – On Friday, Temple women's track and field headed to the Zable Stadium for the Colonial Relays, hosted by William and Mary. Despite the gloomy weather, the Owls ran through the rain over six events. Senior Bionca St. Fleur started the weekend off with a first-place finish in the 200 meter dash.
 
St. Fleur topped her 62 competitors in 24.56, just edging Tyrika Lee of Norfolk State. Her performance marks her best of the 2016-2017 season.
 
Senior Jimmia McCluskey's long jump landed her in third place overall. Her mark of 5.54m topped 13 opponents. 

On the distance side, Millie Howard returned to the 800 meter race. The Yorkshire England native took ninth place with a time of 2:09.49, a personal best. Katie Pinson and Grace Moore took on the 3000m Steeple Chase for the Owls. While Pinson made the top-20 in 11:01.14 (18th), Moore finished in 11:10.48 to take 23rd place overall.

Temple women's track and field will return to the Zable Stadium tomorrow for day two of the Colonial Relays. The Owls' first appearance will be in the Triple Jump set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
