Mark Farley Named to Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Golf Team

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University senior golfer Mark Farley was named to the 2018 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Men's Golf Team after a vote by the sports information offices of the 30 colleges and universities in the Philadelphia area.  Farley is one of five golfers selected to the team.

A native of Penndel, Pa., Farley had his most success year on the course, averaging a career best 73.8 strokes per round to lead the Owls. Named the recipient of Temple's Male Student-Athlete Community Service Award at the 2018 Celebration of Champions dinner, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in risk management and insurance.  His 3.83 cumulative GPA earned him the Owl Club award for highest grade point average on the golf team.

The recent graduate has started his professional career as an associate underwriter for Liberty Mutual.
