  • Put on 30-lbs. in the offseason to make the conversion from TE to O-line ... switched to LT and to jersey #76 in the Spring of 2013 after wearing #38 for three seasons.
  • Earned his degree in kinesiology in the 2013 Spring.

2013: Started 11 of 12 games at LT and was reliable watching the QB blindside ... suffered a concussion vs. Fordham and did not make the trip to Idaho ... did not start vs. Louisville but was pressed into action at RT ... resumed his starting LT spot @Cin.

2012: Started all 11 games at TE … one of just seven Owls to start every game … also served as the snapper for the punt and field goal units … finished the season second in receiving with 17 catches for 137 yards a 4 TDs … led the Owls with three receptions for 39 yards and scored his first career TD with a 9-yard reception in the third quarter in the win over South Florida.

2011: Played in all 13 games with 4 starts … also served as the snapper for the punt and field goal units … made first collegiate start in the win over Villanova and had a 10-yard reception.

2010: Played in 5 games mostly on the field goal unit … saw first action in the win at Buffalo … named the coaches’ co-offensive scout team player of the week for the Penn State game.

2009: Redshirted … named the coaches’ offensive scout team player of the week following the Buffalo game.

Academic Honors: 2013 and 2010 Athletic Director’s Honor Roll … 2012 BIG EAST All-Academic Team honoree … CFP Honorable Mention Tight End of the Week (Oct. 28, 2012; Oct. 7, 2012) … recipient of 2010 Gavin White Local 215 Award, presented to the most improved non-scholarship player at the conclusion of spring drills.

High School: Three-year letterwinner for coach Todd Mealy at Penn Manor HS … played WR, TE and DE while also serving as the long snapper … two-time All-Lancaster/Lebanon League honoree … earned first-team honors at DE and second-team accolades at TE … as a senior, had 20 receptions for 241 yards and a TD as Penn Manor went 9-3 … finished his career with 48 receptions for 700 yards and 4 TDs … defensively, had 118 solo tackles and 15 sacks, including 68 tackles and 13 sacks his senior season … participated in the Tri-County All-Star Game … had 4 receptions for 90 yards and 2 TDs … participated in the 2009 PSFCA East-West All-Star Game … also a three-year letterwinner in basketball … 2009 first-team All-Star … 2009 Scholar Athlete … selected Penn Manor’s 2009 Male Athlete of the Year.
