PHILADELPHIA - A school record four Temple University football signees played in the 51st Annual Big 33 Football Classic, an all-star game that matches the best high school seniors from Pennsylvania and Ohio, at Hersheypark Stadium on Saturday evening.

Representing the Owls were WR Vaughn Carraway (Laureldale, Pa./Muhlenberg HS), DL Shahid Paulhill (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast Catholic HS), LB Adrian Robinson (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg HS) and OL Wayne Tribue (York, Pa./Central York HS). The four Owls are the most to play in the Big 33 game in Temple school history.

Robinson walked away with MVP honors as Pennsylvania claimed its third consecutive victory with a 31-16 win over Ohio. Robinson registered three sacks, three pass hurries, a pass deflection, and a blocked punt that led to a three-yard touchdown run by RB Mike Jones late in the second quarter.

A late addition to the roster, Paulhill finished with two sacks, five tackles, and four quarterback pressures.

"Temple University, our staff, and I are proud of our dedication to the high schools, the coaching community, and the student-athletes here in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania," Temple head coach Al Golden said. "The Big 33 Classic is the single greatest high school all-star event in the country; for Temple University to have four representatives participating in this game is a tribute to our staff and the emergent popularity of our University in the region. This is especially notable given the fact that we are one of the few teams represented in the contest that does not recruit Ohio. Additionally, to have the game's most valuable player representing the Owls is a watershed moment in the development of our program. Congratulations to Temple University's 2008 Big 33 Classic representatives! You have made us proud."

Replay of the game will air on the NFL Network on Saturday, June 28 at 8 p.m.
