For the second straight season, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association (IWLCA) has recognized Bridget McMullan, Berkley Summerlin and the Temple women's lacrosse team for their outstanding academic performance during the 2008 season. McMullan and Summerlin were two of 159 student-athletes named to the Honor Roll, while the Owl squad was one of 50 Division I Honor teams that had over a 3.00 grade point average.
Senior Berkley Summerlin has been named to the 2008 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women's Lacrosse Team. Seniors Nicole Caniglia, Hillary Richards and Berkley Summerlin will be playing for Team North Saturday when 43 of the nation's best seniors compete in the annual IWLCA/Under Armour North-South Senior All Star Game. The game, which features 12 All-Americans, tips off at 12 p.m. at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa. Senior Whitney Richards has been named a Third Team IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-American, as announced today by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association. Richards, a First Team Regional All-American, is Temple's first national All-American selection since 2002. Read More >
