Ieisha Jackson enters her second year the Director of Operations for Temple women’s track and field. Jackson graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in sport management in 2016 and has recently earned a USA Track and Field (USATF) Level I Coaching certification. Jackson is currently working towards a master’s degree in sport business with a concentration in athletic administration.
While at Temple, Jackson aids women’s track and field with all operational and administrative aspects, assisting the head coach with the development of meeting, practice, and competition schedules. She also coordinates travel arrangements and assists in the planning, organizing, and execution of official and unofficial recruiting visits.
During the summer of 2017, Jackson served as an events intern at USATF. Here, she worked with local organizing committees to prepare for various national championship meets all over the country. In addition, she coordinated the search for securing a new on-site credential provider for USATF to utilize in preparing for future national championship events. The role also involved monitoring championship registrations for qualifying standards, memberships, and date of birth verifications. Jackson assisted with design approval, ordering, and shipping of championship needs such as bibs, medals, and t-shirts.
At California University, Jackson was a member of the women’s varsity track and field team for four years. The five-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifier competed in the triple jump and long jump. She was also a three-time PSAC Championship top eight finisher in her events. Additionally, Jackson was a PSAC Scholar Athlete and a member of the National College Athletes Honor Society.
In addition to her participation experience, Jackson served as the assistant track and field coach at Monessen High School in Monessen, Pa. for the 2016 season where she primarily worked with jumps.
