One of the finest gymnasts in Temple history, Adam Walter was Temple's first NCAA champion. He captured the horizontal bar title at the 1939 NCAA Championship meet. He was captain of the 1938-39 squad that won the EIGL Championship and also starred on the 1936-37 EIGL Championship Temple team. He was a finalist on the horizontal bar at the 1938 NCAA Championships. A member of the Collegiate Judges Association and judged numerous collegiate meets including at the national level until he moved to Florida in 1972. He was inducted into the Eastern Gymnastics Judges Association Hall of Fame.
