Anne Sage was a standout at Temple University in field hockey and lacrosse. She captained both the field hockey and lacrosse teams at Temple where she became very active in the Women's Athletics Association. She was selected Temple's Outstanding Senior Athlete in 1967. She earned All-American honors in lacrosse. Prior to starring at Temple, she earned letters in three sports at Abington High School. She was awarded a total of nine varsity letters in field hockey, basketball and lacrosse. She was named Abington's Outstanding Female Athlete as a senior. She had been head field hockey and lacrosse coach at the University of Pennsylvania. As the winningest coach in Pennsylvania field hockey and lacrosse history, her teams are perennial Ivy League title contenders. She has coached numerous All-Americans and All-Ivy performers in both sports. She has been involved in numerous field hockey and lacrosse organizations and has lectured throughout the United States.
