Beatrice Mattison Thomas, as a sophomore, earned the highest Temple Women's Athletic Association's participation award, a blazer. A hockey player for 43 years in New Jersey, she was selected to the U.S. team twice, the West Jersey team 13 times and the New Atlantic team 17 times. She was president of the Owlette Alumni Club in 1964. She compiled 95 consecutive swimming victories in Moorestown (NJ) Schools with a 27 year total of 250 wins and 26 losses. She coached hockey and lacrosse for 20 years in Moorestown and won 222 games, lost 112 and tied 44. She was a recipient of South Jersey Coaches of Women's Sports Outstanding Achievement Award and received Honor Award from NJAHPER. She was a recipient of honor award from New Jersey Interscholastic Coaches Association.
