Bill Bradshaw

One of the most respected administrators in collegiate athletics, Bill Bradshaw served as Temple University’s Director of Athletics from 2002 through 2013. During this time, he was instrumental in helping turn around the owls’ football program which included the hiring of Temple Athletics Hall of Fame classmate Al Golden.
Bradshaw also helped Temple find football a home in the Mid-American Conference and later the Big East and then the American Athletic Conference for all sports. He also negotiated a three-game deal with Notre Dame with Temple’s home game later being highlighted on ESPN College GameDay.
The former NACDA president was named the 2011 Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year, which corresponded with Temple’s first bowl win, the New Mexico Bowl, since 1979. Bradshaw also hired Matt Rhule, who is the current head coach of the Carolina Panthers, as Temple’s head football coach in 2012.
