Bill Mlkvy, Temple's famed Owl Without a Vowel. He played under Josh Cody from 1949 to 1952 and earned first team All-American honors after 1950-51 season when he averaged 29.2 points per game. At the time, he was the third highest scorer in Temple history with 1,539 points. He poured in 731 points as a junior when he set a University record with a 73 point outburst against Wilkes College. He held Temple records for most field goals in one season (303), most field goals in one game (32) and most rebounds one season (472). He is a graduate of Temple's Dental School and played pro basketball with Philadelphia Warriors.
