Bob Geasey

Served Temple University in capacity of Director of Public and Sports Information, Bob Geasey became one of the best known figures in national basketball circles. He organized the doubleheader basketball programs at Convention Hall. He brought all of the Nation's best teams and top players to Philadelphia as Managing Director. He appointed head of the Office of Public Information at Temple in 1942 and publicized some of the University's finest sports teams. He taught a course in public relations at Temple for years. When he was younger, he played basketball and baseball at Germantown High School. He wrote for the Philadelphia Bulletin sports department during the war years and died in 1953.
