The sixth highest scorer at the time in Temple basketball history, Bruce Drysdale starred for the Owls during the 1959-60, 1960-61 and 1961-62 seasons. Winner of the Robert Geasey Trophy as the Big Five's Most Valuable Player in 1961, he scored 1,444 points during his brilliant Temple career. A member of the Big Five Hall of Fame, he was named to the All-Big Five Team as a junior and senior. He led the Owls in scoring his last two seasons and was second as a sophomore. He made the Little All-American Team for "Players 5'10 and Under". He was also a varsity golfer at Temple for three years. He earned numerous honors at Lincoln High School in basketball and golf. He was also graduate of the Temple University School of Dentistry.
