Caroline McWilliams-Owens

A three-time All-American, Caroline McWilliams-Owens is considered one of the finest players in Temple history. She earned numerous honors while at Temple and was selected the US Player of the Year by the US Field Hockey Association in 1983. At the time she was the second highest scorer in Temple field hockey history with 85 goals and 39 assists for 209 points. She owned the Temple records for goals as a freshman (22) and the one season mark (34) at one time. She had numerous multiple scoring games with her top performance coming against Glassboro State in 1981 when she had five goals. AÂ native of Ireland, she decided to come to the United States after playing in the World Cup and an international competition.Â
