One of the finest boxers in Temple history, Danny Falco won the Eastern Intercollegiate boxing championship as a lightweight in 1938 and 1939 and as a welterweight in 1940. He was undefeated all three years in regular season competition. In 1939 he participated in the National Intercollegiate championships, losing a split decision in the semi-finals. Falco had 13 bouts as a professional boxer, winning 12 and dropping a decision to Marty Servo who a few months later became world champion. After being discharged from the service, he returned to Temple and earned his masters degree in Supervision and Administration. He and his wife Rita, who make their home in Yeadon, Pa., have two children.
