Debbie Kelly starred for the Temple lacrosse team from 1978 to 1982. An outstanding goalkeeper, she was a three-time All American.  She owned four Temple records at the time and her defense helped the Owls win the AIAW national championship in 1982. She was the team's MVP and a co-captain. Her records included: most saves, career 698, most saves, season, 273 in 1982; save pct. season, .796 in 1982; and GAA avg., season 3.69 in 1982. She was named to the 1982 AIAW all-championship team. She was a member of the 1981 U.S. women's lacrosse squad and was selected for the 1980 District I All Star Team.
