Don Flynn

Don Flynn Compiled a 16-6 record as the ace of Temple's pitching staff. He was the Owls' top pitcher as they captured the Middle Atlantic Conference championship during the 1959 and 1960 season under Temple Hall of Fame coaches Ernie Casale and Jim "Skip" Wilson. Following his Temple career, he played six years of professional baseball for the New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants, Cincinnati Reds and Oakland Athletics organizations. After being a player of the game, he coached at J.F. Kennedy and Cheltenham High Schools from 1966 to 1972. In 1973, he joined the Temple coaching staff and assisted Wilson until 1990. Since then, he has been the head coach at Philadelphia Textile. As a Temple University alumnus, he earned three degrees from Temple including his doctorate in English education.
