Dorothy McQueen was a Health and Physical Education graduate during an era when there was no women's intercollegiate program (1926-30). She was the recipient of Temple's Scholarship Key for highest physical education average in 1930. A member of the 1928 American gymnastics and track and field team, which competed in Cologne, Germany. She also was a member of 1926 National Championship Turngeminde gymnastics team. Dorothy captained the 1923 Scott-Powell basketball team, who went on to be the Women's National Basketball League Champions. From 1948 to 1968, she was the Assistant Director of the Division of Health and Physical Education for the Philadelphia Public Schools.
