Dorothy Tashjian Chalikian

Highly rated and respected official in hockey, basketball, and lacrosse, Dorothy Tashjian Chalikian received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Temple. She served on Philadelphia Examining Committee for Hockey Officials for 36 years and the Philadelphia Examining Committee for Basketball Officials for 5 years. She organized the Philadelphia Examining Committee for Lacrosse Officials and was a member for 18 years. She was the first chairman of the Philadelphia Board of Women Officials. She participated in all-Philadelphia hockey and lacrosse teams, on theMiddle Atlantic hockey team and the U.S. lacrosse team. She coached nine sports in six local high schools and was the Physical Education Department Chairwoman of South Philadelphia and Girls' High Schools.
