One of the top linemen in Temple football history, Frank Kilroy starred for the Owls in the 1940 and 1941 seasons. He played both offense and defense and started every game while winning all-American mention. He then became an outstanding professional with the Philadelphia Eagles, playing 13 years and missing only one of 203 games because of an injury. He played in 147 consecutive games which was a league record at the time. He was all-Pro for six years and played in the 1952, 1953 and 1954 Pro Bowl games. He was the 42nd player elected to the Helms Hall of Fame. He was an assistant coach with the Eagles from 1956 to 1961. He worked with the Washington Redskins from 1961 to 1964 and was the Dallas Cowboys Super Scout from 1966 to 1970. He was an all-Scholastic player at Northeast Catholic High School.
