Harry Litwack

Once being Temple's Basketball Coach, Harry Litwack has given the Owls national prominence. He has been associated with every tournament team Temple has ever fielded. Harry has led the Owls to 12 post-season tournaments in the past fifteen years including third-place finishes in the 1956 and 1958 NCAA tourneys and the 1969 National Invitation Tournament championship. He has been honored three times as Coach of the Year and is the winningest coach in Temple history. He was freshman coach for 20 years and each season produced a winning team. He has developed numerous outstanding players including four all-Americans. He was an outstanding player on the teams of 1926-27, 1927-28 and 1928-29 and is one of only three men to be named captain for two seasons. He played for and coached the pro Philadelphia SPHAS. He and his wife Estelle have two daughters.
