Jesse Hodges played three years for the Temple Baseball team. He batted .387 as a senior in 1967 to lead the Owls in hitting and a 22-10-1 record.  He also topped the team with eight home runs and 36 RBI. At the time, he was only one of two Temple players to earn the American Baseball Coaches Association first team All-American honors. He signed a free agent contract with the New York Yankees in 1967 and spent one year in their farm system. He has earned three master’s degrees from Temple and recently retired as a professor at Montgomery County Community College.
