Joe Nejman

One of the finest players in Temple football history, Joe Nejman earned all-American mention in 1947 when he captained the Owls. He was twice chosen for the Blue-Gray Game in 1949 and 1947. He was selected Temple's outstanding player in 1946 and received the Quarterbacks Club Trophy. During the 1947 season, he was honored by the Maxwell Club and given one of that organization's weekly awards. Joe came to Temple from Frankford High School where he unanimously made the all-State team. He played on Frankford's only City championship team in 1940. He was an assistant football coach at Temple for six years. He earned his B.S. degreee in Education from Temple in 1948 and received his Master's from his Alma Mater in 1953.
