Larraine Lodise-Gentry

Larraine Lodise-Gentry is known as one of the most versatile athletes in Temple history. She competed in badminton, basketball, field hockey, lacrosse and softball. During her career, she had earned numerous awards. She was named to the field hockey All-American team in 1981 when she was the Owls' captain. At one time, she was Temple's all-time leading scorer. In 1981, she received the Charles Johnson Alumni Award as Temple's outstanding women's athlete. As a starring lacrosse player for three years, she was selected as team captain for the All-Philadelphia college team in 1980. After graduating, she was fortunate to play for the United States field hockey team from 1979-85. She was also an outstanding athlete at Bucks County Community College and Neshaminy High School before enrolling at Temple.
