Les Roos played baseball for Temple from 1966-1968 and helped the Owls to an outstanding 25-6 record and into the NCAA Tournament as a senior. He figures prominently in the Temple record book. At the time, he owned the single season hitting record, batting .457 in 1968 to rank second nationally, the career on base percentage leader (.540), was fourth in career hitting with a .395 average, second in single season on base percentage (.593), and was third in single season triples with seven in 1968 and sixth in slugging percentage (.790), also in 1968.
