An outstanding all-around athlete, Lilyan Boyd Wright played on 11 varsity teams in basketball, field hockey and tennis. She was captain of the basketball team in 1942. She was vice-president of the Women's Athletic Association and was Woman of the Year in 1942. She was one of ten Outstanding Seniors and received the University Award for athletics, character and scholarship. She co-founded the Women's Athletic Program at Trenton State and coached basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, tennis and track. She was listed in "Who's Who of American Women." She was President of the New Jersey Association for health, Physical Education and Recreation in 1975.
