Madeline Braccio Chiomento received varsity letters in hockey, basketball and softball from 1948-50. She was All-College III in 1949 and was inducted into Delta Psi Kappa that same year. She was named to West Jersey Hockey First Team five times, South Jersey first team six times and New Atlantic First Team three times. She taught and coached hockey and basketball at Pitman, NJ High School. In 19 years of coaching, her hockey teams have won seven Tri-County league titles and were New Jersey State Champions in 1974. Pitman's basketball team won nine league titles and had only one losing season in 18 years. A student of Hawaiian and Polynesian culture, she organized a high school traveling troupe which performs today. In 1976, she received Outstanding Teacher Award for New Jersey AAHPER. She was names Field Hockey Coach of the Year in 1974 by the Camden Courier-Post.
