A three-year starter and member of two NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Final Four teams, Nicole Ross Burris helped lead the Owls to 47 wins from 1996 through 1999. Her senior year, 1999, was one for the ages as she scored 67 goals, including 10 in a game against Duquesne, and picked up 53 ground balls, both still rank among the top 10 all-time at Temple.   She also ended the year as the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, the Most Outstanding Player in the A10 Tournament and second team All-American.

For her career, she scored 145 goals – which ranked among the Top 10 in Temple history at the time – attempted 300 shots and picked up 166 ground balls.
An Academic All-Atlantic 10 honoree, she was named to the US Lacrosse’s “All-Black Team” in early 2021, honoring her as one of the best African-American women’s lacrosse players of all time.
