Patricia Collins Morris

Patricia Collins Morris coached and taught at Temple from 1938 to 1952. She was the varsity coach in hockey, tennis, basketball, softball, archery, and bowling where she produced numerous outstanding teams and athletes. Six of her hockey players earned All-American honors and her basketball team compiled a 31 game winning streak. She invented a robot tennis server while at Temple. She founded the Philadelphia Board of Softball Officials. She held National ratings in basketball as an official, was listed in "Who's Who In American Women" and has been published frequently. She was awarded the Temple University Owlette Award in 1967 for outstanding contribution as a Temple graduate. She then received her doctorate from Temple after earning undergraduate degrees at University of Minnesota.
