Robin Boyd-Kranis

Robin Boyd-Kranis was the Most Valuable Player on Temple's 1987 softball team that captured the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship. A catcher and designated hitter, she set Temple season and career records for hits, runs, runs batted in and total bases. She batted .391 as a senior with a slugging percentage of .517. From 1984 to 1987, she had 147 hits, 82 runs scored, 51 RBI and 193 total bases. She had an on base percentage of .415 as a senior. During the 1987 season, she had 59 hits, scored 32 runs and had 13 stolen bases. She earned numerous academic awards and was awarded a NCAA post graduate scholarship with a 3.750 grade point average in biochemistry. She was a GTE Academic All-American twice, earning first team honors in 1987 and second team in 1986. After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. degree in Biochemistry, she earned her M.D. from Temple in 1991.Â
