A class of '68 graduate, Sheila Murphy was a member of the Lady Owls basketball (1965-68), lacrosse (1966-68) and field hockey (1966) teams. She received the Women's Athletic Association Blazer Award. She also served as president of the WAA for three years (1966-68). Her academic honors include the President's Scholar and the College of Education Awards. In 1968, she also received the WAA, the Owletter and the Outstanding Senior Awards. She has coached Neshaminy High School's field hockey team since 1971. Her 1980 and 1981 teams were named Lower Bucks champions. In 1984 her protegees were the District I and PIAA State champions. Through 1984, she has compiled a 138-32-20 record at Neshaminy. She guided Neshaminy's softball team to Lower Bucks County championships in 1975 and 1981, compiling a 124-54 record in 11 years. She also coached basketball at Neshaminy and Little Flower High Schools. She also coached at the collegiate level at Beaver College and Penn State Ogontz.
