Steve Watson

As one of the finest pass receivers in Temple football history, Steve Watson was a four time letterman, ranked fifth among Temple's career leading receivers. From 1975-78, he caught 98 passes for 1629 yards and seven touchdowns. He led the Owls in receiving yards during the 1977 and 1978 seasons. He earned the All-East honors and was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game. Other than football, Steve starred in track at Temple as a long jumper, earning three letters and winning two conference championships. Following his graduation, he became a professional football standout with the Denver Broncos for 10 years. Steve received numerous honors and was named to the 35th anniversary all-time Bronco team. For his outstanding performance, he was inducted into the Delaware Sports Hall of Fame.
