Named Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year in 1988, Tim Perry ranked fifth in the nation in blocked shots (3.4 per game) with 118.At the time, he was the 20th highest men's scorer in Temple's history with 1,368 points, was the University's all-time leader in blocked shots with 392 and was Temple's fourth best rebounder with 985. He played an important role as a senior (1987-88) when Temple was the No. 1 team in the nation. He earned all-American Honorable meniton and was named to the District I Team selected by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He was also given All-East honors. He was named most valuable player of the Orlando (Florida) All-Star Classic after scoring 18,29 and 28 points for the East squad. Selected for the All-Big five first team three times, he was inducted in the Big Five Hall of Fame in 1994. He made the Atlantic 10 Conference first team as a junior and senior. A lottery pick, he was the seventh player selected in the National Basketball Association's 1998 draft (Phoenix Suns). Besides the Suns, he has also played for the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Nets.
