Men's Gymnastics Headed to NCAA Championship

PHILADELPHIA (April 13, 1999) -- Temple Owl gymnast Mike Moran will compete in the NCAA

Championship on April 22 at the University of Nebraska. Moran qualified

for the NCAA Championship after competing in the NCAA Eastern Regional

on April 10, 1999.

Moran, a native of Windsor, Conn., earned a tenth place finish with a

9.650 on rings and finished seventh on the high bar with a 9.650 in the

NCAA Eastern Regionals. The junior exercise science major will compete

on the still rings and horizontal bar at the NCAA Championship.

As a team, the Owls finished with a 5-15 record. The Temple gymnast

will compete at the University of Nebraska on Thursday, April 22 at

7:00 p.m.
