Men's Gymnastics Places Third At West Point Open

PHILADELPHIA (January 22) - Temple men's gymnastic team placed third out of seven collegiate teams and an overall field of eleven.
Temple defeated host Army, Navy, Springfield,
Southern Connecticut and James Madison.The two teams that defeated the Owls were Penn State and Massachusetts. Penn State, finished first with an overall score of 205.400 and Massachusetts placed second with an overall score of 198.950 leaving the Owls with a 5-2 record after the meet.
Temple finished with an overall score of 195.050. The Owls had 5th place finishes in the (floor exercise and horizontal bars), 4th in the (rings and pommel horse) and second in the vault and parallel bars).
The Owls (5-2) will next host James Madison in a dual meet with the women's program Sunday January 28th at noon in McGonigle Hall.
