Owls Soar to Victory Over James Madison in Home Opener

PHILADELPHIA - Temple men's gymnastics team won their home opener over James Madison 195.400 to 181.250 in a duel meet with the women's program.

The Owls were led by double first place performances by sophomore Alex Weber and senior tri-captain Rob Chacon. Weber earned first place in the floor exercise with a score of 8.60 and scored 8.25 on the rings. The Owls' tri-captain Rob Chacon placed first in the horizontal bars with a score of 86.00 and in the all around with a score of 48.10. Also sophomore Adam Owens placed first on the pommel horse with a score of 8.45.

The Owls (6-2) will next face Army and Southern Connecticut at Army on Saturday February 3rd at 1pm.
