Men's Gymnastics Loses a Pair to Nationally Ranked Teams

Philadelphia - In a weekend of meeting two nationally ranked teams in the state

of Massachusetts in two days, the 12th ranked Owls lost a pair of meets. First,

on Saturday afternoon, the Owls lost to 10th ranked, and defending ECAC Champions,

Massachusetts 210.550-205.700.

On Sunday the Owls found themselves in an another battle with a nationally

ranked team falling to 19th rank Springfield College 193.800 to 191.150 in

Springfield Massachusetts. The loss drops the Owls record to (9-5) overall. All of the Owls' losses this season have been to nationally rank teams.

In the Springfield meet sophomore Rich Maguire led the Owls with three first place finishes. Maguire won the floor exercise (9.00), the vault (9.100) and the parallel bars (8.650).

The 12th ranked Owls (9-5) will travel to Chicago to face nationally ranked Illinois-Chicago on Sunday, March 4th at 2pm.
