Men's Gymnastics Finish Second In Tri-meet

Philadelphia (March 17) - Men's gymnastics placed second in a home tri-meet. The Owls
defeated Navy (199.150) but fell to defending ECAC champion UMass (205.300). Temple finished with a score of 203.550
The Owls had many strong individual performances, in particular junior Richard Maguire and sophomore Alex Weber who finished first and second in the all-around competition. Along with winning the all-around, Maguire won the floor exercise (9.2) and the parallel bars (8.7). Maguire also took third place in the still rings. Weber who finished second in the all-around finished second on the vault (8.950) and took third place on each the floor exercise (8.850) and the horizontal bar (8.6). Travis Plummer was the only other Owl to finish in the top three in an event, placing third (8.4) on the parallel bars.
The Owls will next take part in the ECAC Championships March 24 and 25.
