Men's Gymnastics Places Second At ECAC Championship

PHILADELPHIA (March 24) - The Temple men's gymnastics team placed second out of
an eleven team field at the ECAC with a overall team score of (207.200). The Owls were
edged by defending champions Massachusetts (208.050).
Sophomore Richie Maguire led the Owls with a first place finish in the all-around, second place on the parallel bars, third place on the floor exercise and fourth place on the vault. The top six scorers in each event earned ALL-East honors. Sophomore Alex Weber earned All-East honors with a second place all-around and a third place finish on the parallel bars. Rounding out the Owls earning All-East honors is senior co-captain Rob Chacon with a third place finish on the high bar.
The 11th ranked Owls finished the regular season with a 12-7 mark overall. Temple will next compete at the NCAA qualifiers on April 5th in Columbus, Ohio at 1p.m.
