No. 11 Men's Gymnastics Earns Trip To NCAA Championships

PHILADELPHIA (March 27) - The Temple men's gymnastics team has been chosen to compete in the
NCAA Championships. The NCAA Championship qualifiers will be held in Columbus,
Ohio starting Thursday, April 5 at 1 p.m.
The Owls (12-7) will compete in the first day qualifying session along with No. 1
Oklahoma (216.342), No. 4 Illinois (213.558), No. 5 California (213.558), No. 8
Penn State (210.467) and No. 10 Massachusetts (207.467) .The 11th-ranked Owls were one of
nine teams that qualified based on the national qualification average formula (NQA). The
Owls finished with a NQA of 205.483. Three teams - Oklahoma, Massachusetts and Ohio State -
earned automatic bids for the championship
based on their first-place finishes in their
conference tournaments.
