Temple University senior righthander Greg Powell won his third Atlantic
10 Pitcher of the Week Award for the week of May 7 through May 13. The
Holland, Pa native continued his dominance in the Atlantic 10 by tossing a
steller three-hit shutout on Friday, May 11th in the first game against St.
Bonaventure. It was Powell's second shutout of the season and lowered his
Atlantic 10 ERA to 2.28. The win up his Atlantic 10 record to 6-1. Take away
the one bad outing and loss at Duquesne and Greg's ERA would be a perfect
6-0 with a sparkling 1.23 ERA.
