NO. 10-RANKED TEMPLE MEN'S GYMNASTICS TEAM PLACES SECOND IN TRI-MEET FEATURING THREE NATIONALLY-RANKED PROGRAMS

3.8.02 | Men's Gymnastics

The Temple University men's gymnastics team, ranked 10th nationally, placed second in a tri-meet competition held Thursday, March 7 at Stanford (Cal.) University. The Owls finished with a 205.900 team score placing behind 11th-ranked Stanford (213.400) and ahead of No. 20 Arizona State (186.50).

Individually, the Owls had two event victories. Junior Alex Weber won the pommel horse with a 9.400 effort and junior Kevin Hallinan captured the floor exercise with a 8.850 score. Weber also placed second in the all-around competition with a 50.800 showing.

Temple, under the direction of 26th-year head coach Fred Turoff returns to action Saturday, March 9 at the Santa Barbara (Cal.) Invitational.
