The top six finishers in each of Sunday's event finals earned All-America status.
Floor exercise and pommel horse were the first two events contested on Sunday and Landis didn't hesitate to impress, standing atop the award stand on consecutive occasions to open the day's competition. California's Graham Ackerman placed second on floor with a 9.650 showing and Ohio State's Kerry Adderly captured third in the exercise with a 9.312 effort. On pommel horse, Penn State's Zack Roeder posted a 9.600 score to earn second place while Illinois' Peter Shostchuk captured third with a 9.575 showing.
Minnesota's Clay Strother, the two-time defending national champion on both floor exercise and pommel horse, placed fifth on floor exercise with a 9.125 score and fourth on pommel horse with 9.550 effort.
The vault title went to Michigan's Andrew DiGiore, who posted a 9.650 score, just ahead of Penn State's Zack Roeder (9.625). Oklahoma's Jock Stevens placed third on vault with a 9.500 effort. Stanford's Dan Gill, the defending national champion on vault, finished fourth with a 9.462 score.
The rings competition was perhaps the most hotly contested event of the afternoon. Penn State's Kevin Tan won the title with a 9.762 to unseat defending national champion Marshall Erwin of Stanford, who placed second with a 9.750 score. Temple's Nyika White placed third on rings with a 9.687 effort to the delight of the home crowd.
Linas Gaveika of Iowa is the 2003 horizontal bar national champion after scoring a 9.712 in the event. Tan, on the heels of his impressive rings performance, placed second with a 9.625 effort. Illinois' Scott Wetterling took home third on horizontal bar, posting a 9.600 score.
Furney, the final competitor of the afternoon, capped his weekend with the parallel bars title. Army's Dustin Greenhill finished second on the apparatus with a 9.075 score. Third place on parallel bars went to Oklahoma's Heath Mueller, who posted a 9.00.
Sunday's event finals will be televised via tape delay in the Philadelphia region Sunday evening, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. on CN8 and on the internet at www.cn8.tv.
Saturday's team and all-around competition will be televised via tape delay on ESPN on Monday, April 14 from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
