NATE BLACKWELL RESIGNS AS ASSISTANT BASKETBALL COACH AT TEMPLE

Nate Blackwell has resigned as assistant basketball coach at Temple University for personal reasons. Blackwell has been a member of head coach John Chaney's staff since 1996.
A native of Philadelphia, Blackwell developed into an All-American player under Chaney. He was inducted into the Temple Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998 and the Big Five Hall of Fame in 1993.
Blackwell began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Temple from 1990 to 1992. He also served four years (1992-96) as a full-time assistant at Coppin State College in Baltimore, Maryland.
Before coming to Temple, Blackwell starred at South Philadelphia High School and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2002.
