MEN'S GYMNASTICS EARNS DUAL MEET VICTORY AGAINST JAMES MADISON

Sophomore Brian Forquer led the Owls by finishing first on floor exercise and on pommel horse and by tying senior teammate Dave Nowakowski for first on horizontal bar (8.100). His 8.800 score on floor exercise and 8.450 score on pommel horse marked two personal best collegiate scores for Forquer. Forquer also finished third on rings with a score of 8.850.
Temple's two additional first-place finishes came from seniors Toros Torcomian on rings (9.250) and Zach Hanson-Hart on parallel bars (8.350).
Senior Kevin Hallinan and freshman Derek Shepard also contributed significant points to the Owls team score. Hallinan finished second on both pommel horse (8.450) and on parallel bars (8.250). Shepard placed third on both pommel horse (8.000) and on horizontal bar (7.900).
James Madison's only first-place finish came from sophomore Jason Woodnick, who scored 9.050 on vault. Woodnick also place second on floor exercise with a score of 8.750.
The Owls (3-2) will travel to New York next weekend to compete in the annual West Point Open on January 30-31.
